​Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois in a home his father built. Walt's birth name is Walter Elias Disney. His parents were Elias Charles Disney and Flora Call Disney. In addition to Walt, Elias and  Flora's other sons were Herbert Arthur Disney, Raymond Arnold Disney and Roy Oliver Disney, and the couple had a fifth child, one daughter, Ruth Flora Disney. His family moved to a small farm in Marceline, Missouri when Walt was four and where his uncle Robert Disney had recently purchased  land. This is actually where Walt first learned to love animals, and where he first was intrigued with art and drawing, and where he was first paid to draw the horse of a retired neighborhood doctor. When the Disney Family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, everything changed, and at some point, this will be featured in this site!
